OPEN LETTER AS REFUTATION TO THE PREACHER WHO WROTE
THE GOSPEL TRACT: ACTS 2:38 SATAN’S FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE.
To begin with, I will quote from the Apostles Peter and Paul, words about what they said about the Holy Scriptures 2nd.Peter
1:20,21 “knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of private interpretation, For the prophecy came not
in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” 2nd. Tim.3:
16
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” That is the footing for my foundation about my refutation,
and my foundation is not other that the Apostles’ foundation
Namely Jesus Christ and His Doctrine.2nd. Tim 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, (misusing scriptures) rightly dividing the word of .truth”
Even so I have written two letters to you Mr. Melton (with not answer yet) I feel compelled to write again to you in despise
of all the name calling that you used in directing your attacks on your writing about people as myself who believe Acts 2:38
to be words given by divine inspiration and you said they are Satan’s favorite verse.
In my part I will abstain of using on reverse to you the same derogative language that you used, instead I will use this
promise: “…He will reprove the world if sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment…Jn. 16:8 and I hope the
Comforter can perform His designated work in this case.
SIN IS SIN, TO TELL A SINNER THAT HE IS SAVED WHEN HE IS NOT. THAT IS SIN. TO TELL A PERSON THAT HE HAVE RECEIVE THE HOLY
GHOST WITHOUT THE SIGN THAT THE LORD JESUS MARKED AS A SIGN, IT IS SIN.
TO TELL A BELIEVER THAT HE IS BORN AGAIN WHEN HE IS NOT, IT IS SIN.
I am not throwing this at your face Mr. It is for both of us, we both preach, but we are far distant in our belief.
SALVATION IS THE THEME.
Where you stand in this? That the resurrected Savior “…through the Holy Ghost gave
Commandments to his Apostles…, Acts 1:2; …(He) drew near to them and “He said
to them to me has been given all power in heaven and earth” Matt. 28: 18; “Go” v, 19,
. v.20 “and teach them to carry out all things which I have commanded you for ever.”
The words missing in v. 19 were interpolated after 325 A.D. (Eusebious writings) as you should know since you appear to
know Church History
This also is a fact, that the promise of salvation of Messiah in his earthly ministry
was direct for Israelites to whom salvation was “the Resurrection Day” “…every one
which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day”. Jn.6:
40; and that was good for Israelites Nicodemus and the dying thief who asked the dying Messiah: “… Lord remember
me when thou comest into thy kingdom”. This dying thief was foreign to be saved as the Gentiles were to be told.
His dying Messiah answered to His last convert “Truly thee I tell today with me thou will be in the paradise”.Lk.23:42,43
(Greek text) Let me put crystal clear the conversation of these two dying men, the thief requisition was:
To receive some kind of favor when Messiah was going to be coming back to earth as King of Israel in Jerusalem. His words
have no other meaning! (right?)
Now, having clear up the smoky area, I ask you this question, what the word paradise means? Theologians still arguing the
real meaning of it, in what language was done that conversation? Ciriac, Aramaic, Greek or even Latin? In all these languages
the meaning differs, it goes from the Garden of Eden to a place of peace and happiness in Israel’s territory or a place
for remission waiting for judgment’s purgatory in a corner where the streets are of gold. The Moslems, we are told,
they live in hope imagining this or that about “paradise” and so it is the case of most in Christendom, you are
one of them! This is not sarcasm, but reality.
Jesus did not take that dying thief to heaven that day as it is preached by preachers like you, You preachers like that
lie about it, Jesus did not lie then, not ever did, Jesus said to Israelite people “…as Jonah was in the whale’s
belly three days and three nights, so the Son of men shall be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth”.
And after
His resurrection, He told Mary “…touch me not, for I am NOT YET ASCENDED TO
(heaven) MY FATHER”. And when the Lord was seen of all His Apostles, at that time, for forty days, “…while
they beheld..” “…HE WAS TAKEN UP…” “…INTO HEAVEN.” That was the truth then,
and is still now; even when preachers like you do not believed it to preach it.
To apply and made connection of the dying thief with 1a. Cor 15:1-4 as you do it in your tract, it is misapplying the scriptures;
the Apostle Paul wrote that to Gentiles already saved baptized as everybody else in the name that he also was baptized.
By the way, I noticed that you run two churches, (Sharon & Martin); do you said one thing about baptism to one and
different to the other? WHO MADE YOU THINK THAT THE APOSTLES DID?
Here is a good explanation to help you out about Rom 10:13 that you apply to your own conversion: v. 8-13 Paul quoted Jesus,
Isaiah and Joel, in v. 8 he quoted Jesus by saying “…if thou confess with thy mouth…” Jesus words
were “Whosoever therefore shall
Confess me…” Matt. 10:32 the word of faith to Israel v. 6, and quoting Isaiah in 28:16
“…he that believeth shall not made haste.” Paul’s words (ashamed) v.11, then he added his teaching
v. 12 and to clarified more he then used Joel as Peter quoted him preaching in a Gentile house”… through his name
(Jesus, that is) whosoever (same as in Jn. 3:16)
Believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins.” Acts 10:43
Many years later Paul wrote to both Gentiles and Jews, That The Lord hath made of both One body, therefore Paul’s
saying “…same Lord…” = “…One Lord…”, One faith = same “…word of
faith that we preach…”, One baptism = same baptism for both Jew
And Gentile as it was confirmed by Peter in that Gentile’s home saying that anybody
confessing the Lord Jesus, calling His Name shall receive remission of sins. (future tense, Mr. Melton and by the same
preacher of Acts 2:38) How about that!
And staying in a Oneness thought: “one God and Father of all, who is above all and through you all” Eph. 4:5,6
=Messiah will came back and sit on David’s throne and He will say this to Israelites “ …thou shall call
Me My Father, and shall not turn away from Me” Jer. 3:19. G. M. http://hometown.aol.com/ THE MIDNIGHT TRUMPET SOUND.
