Some years ago I had just finished putting the above Pauline scripture on our reader board outside of the church, to which I was the Pastor. Each letter was 12” tall and could easily be seen by people passing the church. One day a lady, who was of a different faith, stopped by and said to me, “That looks very nice.” With kindness but truthfulness, I turned to her and said, “Yes, but it is too bad that you do not believe that.” She was a bit upset with what I said and promptly told me that she did, in fact, believe that scripture. So I asked her to please read it to me. She read, “God was with Christ reconciling the world unto Himself.” “See,” I said, “you do not believe the scripture as it is exactly written.” The woman turned and re-read the Word of God slowly and this time, as it was written! When she finished, I asked her “Now, do you believe that it actually happened that way? Unfortunately, she did not answer me and turned to walk away.

Like the woman that I had met several years ago, over the years many preachers likewise have turned and walked away, not because of my personality but because of the message. Many that I have spoken to about the Words of Christ simply say; “That is your opinion.”

And no doubt, in the last four years that I have been sending articles to “preachers only” to read about the truth of Christ have also been considered “my opinion” and have either been partially read or completely unread and thrown in the waste basket. I do not get upset for I have no control over that. But I know that the Word of God is “sharper than a two-edged sword” and if any would be earnest, they too would be set free and know the One true God in Christ!

The term “God in Christ” refers to something deeper and more precious than many preachers understand, unfortunately. Some ministers mention this truth in passing and others chose not to preach it at all! I have to ask myself, why?

We must also remember that the same Holy prophet that wrote about “the suffering Messiah” was the very one that God chose to see Him in His glory! Isaiah wrote that he saw “the Lord in His Throne and the glory of Divine presence filled all around.” That deep revelation gave Isaiah the authority to declare that the same one who was to be the “suffering Messiah” was also “THE SAVIOR, THE REDEEMER, THE LORD, THE GOD AND FATHER WHOSE NAME WAS FROM EVERLASTING!”

Likewise, the prophet Ezekiel wrote of the glory of the Lord when He declared, “this was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord and when I saw it, I fell upon my face.” Micah too, saw this Lord in His throne and ALL THE ANGELS STANDING.” Daniel also saw the very One Lord of heaven in His Throne that “was like a fire and flame.” Lastly, John saw this same Lord in heaven about thirty times in His Throne and stated in the revelation of Jesus that He was called, THE ONLY HOLY, ALMIGHTY GOD WHO WAS, WHO IS, AND IS TO COME.”

If one searches the scriptures carefully you will see that there is only ONE throne and ONE God on it. Jesus, even now in heaven, was heard saying… “I am set down with my Father in His throne“… (That scripture alone proves that there is but One throne in heaven). In the days of His earthly ministry Jesus proclaimed, “The Father is in me,” even so “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father!” Jesus went on to clearly state “I and my Father are ONE.” That is precisely why only ONE is ever seen sitting in the Heavenly Throne. Please take note of this…. “God and the Lamb on the throne“…“They shall see His face“….“The glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (all singular).

During the last four years I have earnestly proclaimed the truth of the Word of God that; it is JESUS who is the One true God and “Everlasting Father.” During this time I have had many that have deceived themselves into believing to opposite of what the scripture clearly teaches and consider Jesus as just “a part” of God. I have been called “Jesus only” many times. But Jesus said that, “he that honoreth the Son, honoreth the Father!” And my writings bear witness that I honor THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN ALL THINGS. I also know the truth of the scriptures that “he that acknowledges the Son HAS THE FATHER ALSO!”

The Apostle Paul said of the Risen Lord that He has “preeminence in ALL things above all around Him in heaven,” because “HE IS FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITIES AND POWER AND MIGHT AND ANY NAME (PROPER OR COMMON) THAT IS NAMED FOREVER.” Peter also said that the Lord Jesus, now in heaven, is “set down at the right of God,” with “angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him.” This is the same Lord God who this author honors and worships and goes to Him in prayer calling upon His matchless Name!

Paul knew first hand that we, through Jesus, “have access to the Father by His Spirit.” That is why Jesus could proclaim, “the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in truth.” This began to happen when, at His ascension as He blessed them, they worshipped Him! Obviously, the people had felt something they had never felt before----the Father had done what the human Son had requested… “Glorify thou me with thine own self.” There it is! The Oneness of the Father in the Son in the ONE and ONLY Person of Deity! This is exactly why the Apostle Paul emphatically proclaimed that we “therefore, henceforth know Christ no more in the flesh.”

Praise God for His resurrection. For “The glorified man, Christ Jesus,” “in Him dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily”. All of the fullness of Divine Deity is in Christ Jesus, that is: all grace and mercy and pity and kindness is in Him because all of the love of God is in Him. All wisdom, all Divine authority and power are His. All truth and infallibility is in Him. Therefore, all grandeur and majesty of Divine splendor is also in Him because the COMPLETENESS OF THE GODHEAD IS IN HIM! No, my friend, Jesus is not just “part” of the Godhead, the whole Godhead is IN Him! And there are not “degrees” of deity (one lesser, one greater) for to believe in “degrees” of deity is paganism, and “it” does not believe that.. JESUSCHRIST “IS ALL IN ALL.. .”

The Apostle Paul wrote “had they known (who Jesus was) they would not have crucified THE LORD OF GLORY.” And even though there is a temporary spirit of slumber, all of Israel knows that “The LORD our God, the LORD He is ONE” (Deut. 6:4). Jesus Himself said, “I am a faithful and true witness.” A true witness of what? He testified in heaven…. “I have the SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD.” God’s divine use of the number seven always represents “completeness or fullness” and it is therefore true that Jesus is the completeness or fullness of God. That is why He could proclaim that He alone was the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last, THE ALMIGHTY! (Rev. 1:8)

Even the doubting Thomas of the Holy Scriptures finally had the revelation of the Risen Savior standing in their midst when he fell down at Jesus’ feet and proclaimed, “my Lord, my ALMIGHTY GOD!”. The same who was proclaimed that He was THE ALMIGHTY has also been referred to as “The Angel of God” who appeared unto Moses on Mount Sinai, the same Angel of God who spoke to Abraham, the Angel of His presence who led all Israel out of captivity unto the promised land. The Angel that was “The Rock of Israel” and the scriptures boldly proclaims that “CHRIST was that Rock!” This being so, He is the same Angel of God of whom is written …he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter… and WHO SHALL DECLARE HIS GENERATION? HE WAS CUT OFF OUT OF THE LAND OF THE LIVING FOR THE TRANSGRETION OF MY PEOPLE, HE WAS STRICKEN. …HE SHALL SEE HIS (OWN) SEED.. .

Jesus after the last supper and having made reference to some of the words of Isaiah’s 53^rd passage said to His Apostles …”I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, … …for the things concerning me have an end, (must come to pass). And the “...He shall see His seed…” is included in ALL THINGS THAT.. SHALL.. TAKE PLACE. And “it” is happening, the being born again of His Spirit, makes a newborn creature, His own seed. The prophet Zechariah knew and proclaimed that “God was and will be AS THE ANGEL OF THE LORD.” Like all of the Apostles and prophets, John knew that “GOD AND THE LAMB…. THE LORD AND HIS CHRIST…. All refer to One, indivisible God in the visible form of Jesus the Christ.

And so I ask you once more. When the Word of God states that when Moses saw “the Angel of the Lord, he saw God. Was that just his opinion? The prophet Isaiah wrote that the Angel of the Lord was the Savior who was to see His own seed. Was just an opinion? Why was the NAME of the Angel of the Lord to be held in reverence? Why? God Himself told Moses “My Name is in Him.” Paul told some sailors “the Angel of the Lord was THE LORD JESUS!” Every time the Angel of the Lord appeared, He let them know that He was the Lord or those who saw Him called Him Lord God. Even the angel Gabriel, when announcing the incarnation of the Angel of the Lord said unto the shepherds that this is “Christ the Lord.” And whether as an Angel of God or the Son of God, the Almighty appeared “TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF.” That is HOW, my friend that “GOD HIMSELF PURCHACED THE CHURCH BY HIS OWN BLOOD!” Paul wrote that! (His opinions?)

Let me speak briefly on a different but very serious problem. There are some “prosperity preachers” that teach the “curse of poverty” was done away in Calvary. There is not problem there, the problems comes with the peddling of gimmicks as they appear that they are vendors of God’s promises, (the very favors of God’s grace) why peddling gimmicks when all blessings are offered by “grace through faith” I do believe, however, that the sacrifice on Calvary is indeed the source of all prosperity, physical, spiritual and monetary.

All is grace in our lives, from which also flows all prosperity. For we who know and love the Lord Jesus do have unmerited favor from God’s loving kindness. This truth prompted John to say that he “…“wished above all things that you mayest prosper even as your soul doth prosper.” God says: “does not My word do good to them that obey Me?”. Have these prosperity preachers …“turned the truth of God into a lie.” While they proclaim that prosperity is “evidence” of salvation, they yet say that it is not necessary for all to have the baptism of God’s Spirit (the promise of the Father). Is that why the Apostle Jude warned about those who would “turn the grace of God into lasciviousness?”

Unfortunately, they do not know the true Name or power of God.

Moses declared that the Angel of the Lord was going to come to His own people with the Name of God in Him. And the angel Gabriel trumpeted that precious Name as “JESUS.” Is Jesus the Name of the Almighty? In the book of the Revelations, Jesus Himself told them plainly “I am the Alpha the Omega, the beginning and the end, the One which was, is and is to come, THE ALMIGHTY!

I recall having a public debate one day with an attorney from the Seventh Day Adventists. He declared to me that, “Jesus was a common name at that time and by the time Jesus was born, others were already bearing that name.” Oh really? How is it then that He received, by inheritance, a more “excellent Name?” And that “there is NO other Name under heaven and whereby men must be saved?” I ask you though, did the angel Gabriel announces that most Holy Name in English? (Jesus is the English translation).

Many years ago, some preachers began to preach that the Savior’s Name was Jehovah. A few years ago also, a Christian song artist wrote a song called, “His Name is Yahweh.” Apparently, they had found out later that the Father was called Yahweh or Yehovah and stopped their preaching and singing about it. You see, they believe that Jesus can only be the Son and not the Father! Contrary to Isaiah 9:6, where the prophet clearly stated that “a Son shall be born and HE shall be called…………THE EVERLASTING FATHER!” Even the Pope of the Protestants, denied the truth of scriptures when he said that “Jesus acts like a loving father, a ruler who loves His people but He is not the Everlasting Father! Contradicting his own writing found in the December 1998 issue of Decision Magazine.

The Almighty chose to reveal His name to His servant Moses at Mt. Sinai when Moses asked, “Whom shall I say sent me?” God said, “Tell them I AM THAT I AM” (meaning, the self-eternal One). Prior to that, God chose to reveal His Name to the children of Israel as “God Almighty.” And later on we read in Exodus 6:2-3, when speaking to His servant Moses again, the Lord chose to reveal His Holy Name-- “And God spake unto Moses and said unto him, I am the LORD and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac and unto Jacob, by the NAME of “God Almighty,” but by my NAME JEHOVAH was I not known to them.”

According to the Hebrew and Chaldean dictionary, the Hebrew Name of God was spelled “Y’ehovah” which derived from the Hebrew consonants Y-H-V-H and means the “self eternal One.” It is a contraction of the Hebrew word “Yah” which means “the sacred name or Jah, Lord most vehement!”

But with the birth of the One who would usher in a New Covenant, the angel Gabriel announced the saving Name of Jesus, not in English, but in Hebrew, the Name of Yeshu‘ah---which literally means, “Y’ehovah is my salvation.” For the Divine Name of Jehovah had “become a little lower than the angels” to become the Savior of the world and had proclaimed the saving Name of Y’shua (Jesus-in English) to the whole world. That is why the Lord Jesus would declare, “my Father and I are ONE!”

So you see---contrary to the statement of that attorney, the Name of JESUS was far from a “common name.” This is why demons fear that Name, why there is remission of sins in that Name, and why the “promise of the Father” to receive His Spirit is granted when calling upon that Name.

“For there is NO other Name under heaven whereby men must be saved!” Glory to that Holy Name!

Please take note also; Jesus, now glorified in heaven, said that He would reveal His “new Name” and the 144,000 will have “His and His Father’s Name” written in their foreheads! The prophet Agur saw this through the telescope of prophesy and made this great and vital question, …”what is His Name, and what is His son’s Name, if thou canst tell?” Will the 144,000 have two names written on their foreheads? No! According to scripture, the Apostle John, in the revelation of Jesus, saw “God and the Lamb (father and son) on ONE throne. He wrote that they shall see HIS face (singular) and HIS name (singular) will be written on their foreheads.

We must also remember that on one occasion the Messiah asked His Father to “glorify His Name.” Why was that request made? And again in scripture we see that the Father promised to glorify His Name AGAIN. When did that glorification take place? I believe that when the human Messiah was glorified in heaven, His Name was also! Among many people, God is allowing the revelation of Messiah’s Hebrew Name (Y’shuah=Jehovah saves) to show forth the ONE NEW SAVING NAME -- Jesus. That is why Jesus could proclaim that “I and my Father are ONE” and “it is the Father in me.” It becomes absolutely clear that His Name and His Father’s name became one consolidated Name just like the Father became one in His Son. And now we can boldly see and proclaim the truth; “For without controversy, great is the mystery of Godliness, that GOD was manifest in the flesh…” OH, WHAT A MARVELOUS CONDESCENSION!.

The ONE true Name of the Almighty God---Y-H-V-H (Jehovah, Exodus 6:3) became “flesh and dwelt among us” IN Y’shua (Jehovah saves). The Almighty God became human; so, Isaiah with great joy exclaimed …GOD IS MY SALVATION,.. JE-HO-VAH.. HE ALSO IS BECOME MY SALVATION. So we could know Him who was invisible. He has allowed men with human wisdom to use human words to pronounce His unpronounceable, Holy Name by adding vowels to the Hebrew consonantal system of language THAT WE MAY KNOW HIS NEW NAME!

The scriptures bear witness that He had promised to reveal “the Father’s Name.” In John 17:6, Jesus clearly said, “I have MANIFESTED THY NAME unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world.”

This fantastic revelation has been given “…line upon line, and precept upon precept…” over the years to all that would earnestly seek to know the Mighty God in Christ Jesus. God is a faithful and true witness even of Himself! The Mighty God, Yahweh (the Father) was in Y’shua (the Son) =Yahweshuah (His and His Father’s Name). And indeed, the LORD said that “MY NAME SHALL BE GREAT AMONG THE GOYIM (GENTILES)” and IN MY NAME SHALL THE GENTILES TRUST.” And on the very first Apostolic Council after the baptismal service of Cornelius’ household it was declared that “GOD DID VISIT THE GENTILES TO TAKE OUT OF THEM A PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME.” Do I need to say anymore? For I too have been baptized in that lovely Name above all Names---JESUS!
